WIND MITIGATION Inspection
Licensed roofing contractor serving Tamarac, FL and all of South Florida.
Florida insurers credit the wind-resistant features of your home only when they are documented on the state's Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form, OIR-B1-1802. We inspect the roof covering, roof-deck attachment, roof-to-wall connections, roof shape, secondary water resistance and opening protection, photograph each one, and complete the form under our Certified General Contractor license. You send it to your agent. Your insurer decides what it is worth.
THE DR CONSTRUCTION Advantage
The Form Insurers Accept
The OIR-B1-1802 is the state's standard wind mitigation form. Florida law requires insurers to offer discounts or credits for qualifying wind-resistant features; what the form earns is up to your insurer.
Signed Under a CGC License
Certified General Contractors are among the inspectors allowed to sign the form. Ours is CGC 1507284, which you can verify with the state.
Every Answer Photographed
Insurers can reject a form when an answer is not backed up. Each answer on ours comes with a photo of what we saw.
A Roofer's Eye
If the inspection turns up a failing roof or a loose deck, you hear it from people who repair and replace roofs every day.
Tell us where the home is. We will confirm a time and what paperwork to have ready.
